There is a church around the corner (literally called The Church Next Door) that hosted a giant Easter Egg Hunt for the community, complete with petting zoo and hay rides and a kids program going on in the main auditorium.
Emma LOVED the petting zoo, kept a stink eye on the dressed up bunny, and clapped loudly during the kids show for about 2 minutes before she was done with that. She was a terrible egg hunter but did a good job sharing before heading to the most exciting part of the whole thing: the slide. What were they thinking putting the 1 & 2 year old egg hunt around a play set? :)
Yup. Emma Sue got to hold a baby chicken and it was love at first touch. She softly stroked it and talked to it and was sad to see him have to go back into his warming area. Now, she asks for baby chickens and every bird is a baby chicken that is just dying to be held in her chubby little hands :)
