Kind of a big deal...

On September 16, 2015 Emma and I sat down at the school table to go over her verses for Sparks. Her verse this time was John 3:16. As we read through the verse together, questions were asked about what the Bible verse meant. Emma continued to tell me that she really wanted to become a Christian. She had been saying this for a couple of months, but it did not seem like she really understood what that meant. Until this day.  There was something different. Her persistence. The eagerness in her voice, the way she spoke very seriously and answered all of my questions.

I called  Chris down and he came to the table. We had a very lengthy discussion and asked lots of questions. Emma never wavered in her resolve and felt confident that God wanted her to do this.

Emma gave her heart to Jesus on this evening!

We cried. We celebrated. We prayed. We rejoiced. What a moment!!

THIS is the most joyful event of Emma's life and we feel VERY blessed to have been with her for this monumental decision.

Our prayer is that Emma will continue to grow in her new faith and that she will always find the love of Jesus worth every bit of negative word, teasing, unbelief in those around her and persecution that may come her way some day.

She has had a blast telling people and hearing people tell them that they are so happy that she is now their "sister"! :)

Praise God!
