We began our weekend with a trip to Boonshoft Science Museum in Dayton with Papa on Friday, just the three of us. I forgot to bring our camera, so no pictures (bad Mommy! I know). We had fun but it was very overwhelming for Emma. There were a TON of school groups there and the bigger kids were just too much for Emma, but we did manage to have some fun too :)
Friday night, Aunt "Seppie" and Daddy joined us. On Saturday, we had some fun out in the sun. Papa took Emma outside, just the two of them, and Emma was introduced to drinking water from the hose. Ewww for Mommy, but Emma enjoyed it and Papa told her that he would take the consequences for her when Mommy found out she was drinking from the hose :)
We spent a little more time relaxing and playing inside
Then we headed out to Covington to a metro park that was hosting an Earth Day celebration and we had a ton of fun and ended up staying way longer than we expected because there was so much to do!
Emma had some fun digging for fossils and filled her bucket up with sand and fossils all by herself!
Then we built our own rocket. Ok, Papa built the rocket, Daddy watched and Emma was distracted with the markers. We did manage to build a pretty cool rocket though :)
Then we headed over to the little petting zoo/farm and Aunt Seppie and Emma watched the horse for a long time. She was fascinated :)
Then we headed over to the little kids section and did some sidewalk chalk drawing, played bubbles with Daddy, tried on our ant glasses, played with goop, made our own candle, crawled through a worm tunnel, and then walked along the storybook path.
Saturday evening, we made Emma a meal that consisted of all of her favorite foods. Chocolate milk, chicken nuggets, sweet potato fries, potatoes, green beans, corn and Ketchup. Yum. :)
We then attempted to take a family picture. Did not go so well :)
Then on to more exciting things like cake and ice cream and presents for our almost 2 year old!
Happy Birthday almost Emma Sue! Thanks Papa and Aunt Seppie for celebrating with us this weekend and helping us make it a special time for Emma!

Sweet!!! Sounds like a wonderful time. Love the 'static' pictures...precious and priceless!
