Counting and Letters

Last night Emma decided to count from 1 to 10... all by herself. Seriously. It was ridiculous. I almost passed out from shock.

Not just once. But twice.

During the day, she was riding on her rocking horse and just decided to count:  oooone, dooo, free, four, five!, seben, eight!, ine.   She skipped six and I gave her ten.  Later that night, as we were getting her into her pajama's, she started counting again with Chris in the room and this time she started at seven and counted to ten! It was crazy!

She has also been reciting her ABC's. For the first time yesterday she said A,B,C  in a row by herself. She repeats every letter and now has begun to just say the next letter. For example, I'll say 'S' and she'll say 'T'!

I say none of this to brag, I am sure this is normal in every way... I say it because I can't believe my baby is growing so fast and learning so much and becoming this little person that knows things! I also think it's kind of hilarious how excited Chris and I get when something like this happens. "You have to write that down! tonight!"

Having a child is giving me the opportunity to learn things all over again and to see the wonder in the little things. I would never give up this job!
