Emma Update:
Yesterday was Emma's first time in the little baby pool that our neighbor has. She actually let me put her in it this time and she stayed in for a good amount of time! She likes water, I think. :) I am looking forward to taking her into the big pool at the Carr's in WV someday soon hopefully! :) I bet she will love it! Now, we just have to teach Daddy how to swim! We also purchased a Bumbo seat for her last night that I will start using in another week or so. She loves to sit up and she holds her head up so well already, but the box says you have to wait until they are 3 months old, so Daddy will not let me use it until then lol!
Housewife Update:
The days are becoming a little more tiring now that Emma is awake most of the day... seems like most of my day is spent carrying her around with me and staring at her and begging her for smiles :) It is great! I absolutely love being a stay at home Mom to Emma and I can't think of anything greater that I could do with my life. It almost makes me laugh thinking of how much time I spent over the last 10 years working full time outside of the house.... but then I remember that if it had not been for that, we may not be in a position to allow me to stay at home. So, praise God for His perfect plan and timing!
I have been working hard on starting to really get serious about couponing and scoring good deals at the grocery stores. I am starting to get our pantry and fridge stocked up and have been doing it while saving quite a bit of money. It is exciting! Now, I just have to re-teach myself to cook and start making some good food with all of these groceries! :)
Working out has been difficult, I have yet to find time during the day to have enough "i'm not carrying Emma" time to actually do a complete workout. So, Emma and I have started walking with Chris for his evening walks with the dog. At least it's exercise! Hopefully Emma and I will work out a routine that can include 45 minutes for devotions and 45 minutes for working out at some point during our day.
As we speak I am staring at her as she is shoving her blanket into her mouth and trying to suck on it. I think she's hungry again (every hour and 1/2 today! ugh!) ... love this little girl :)
