First Father's Day

Week 3 010
This past Sunday was Chris's first Father's Day and I have to say... I could not be more proud to be married to such a good Daddy for our little girl! He just adores this little girl and loves her to pieces!! She looks so much like him and I can already see his personality in her ... she's going to be a little spitfire I think! :) But she'll be as sweet as can be, just like her Daddy :)
Emma has been doing pretty good the last few days. We have figured out some things and she seems much more happy and even gave us some extra sleep last night! She is very unpredictable so who knows what is in store for tonight, but we will celebrate each good day as it comes :)
Emma is such a joy. She really is a good baby ... it's just her Mommy that can't quite get it right sometimes :) She is so sweet and such a little beauty. Sometimes I wonder how something so cute could have possibly come from us! Each day during her morning feeding we pray for Daddy (and lots of other people) and she just looks at me while I pray and she eats... it's one of the only feedings where she just lays there calmly almost the whole time. I love this time with her that we have to pray together and sing songs. Such precious memories we already have with her...
She is becoming more alert and active during her awake times and likes to look around at everything. She loves to lay on the boppy and lift her head up and even lifted herself up and launched herself face first over the entire boppy onto the bed. It was quite impressive! :) She is growing so fast and although I can't wait for her personality and some smiles to come shining through, I'm sad that my tiny little newborn is already almost a month old. I knew it would go fast but I don't think I was truly prepared for how fast this was all going to go! I am trying to cherish every moment of it because I know that if another little one ever enters the picture, I will not have the same luxury to just lay in bed all day and play with my baby and watch her (or him) sleep and take a million pictures and let the house go and take my time recovering. So, I am holding her as much as I can and just enjoying every moment that we have had with her. Even the tough times haven't been so bad... although they are definitely tough... and I am saying this after a night of receiving more than an hour and 1/2 of sleep at one time :)
Bottom line is that Emma is awesome and we are completely in love with her and can't wait to see what God has in store for her precious little life!
